FAQ

Where are you located?
Moonflower Studio
3835 County Road 175, Suite 940
Leander, TX 78641
How much do you charge?
$200/hr.
($200 minimum)
Do you require a deposit?
Yes, a non-refundable deposit of $100 via Zelle is required to reserve a spot.
What is your cancellation policy?
Deposits are non-refundable, so cancelling an appointment means your deposit would be forfeited.
However, appointments can be rescheduled without losing the deposit as long as I am notified 72 hours (3 days) before the appointment time.
How do I reschedule my appointment?
Please reply to your confirmation email or email me at [email protected]
What payment methods do you accept?
Zelle and cash is preferred
What aftercare product do you recommend?
Hustle Butter Deluxe
Available at the studio or online at Hustle Butter and Amazon.
It's great for tattoo aftercare, dry skin, and eczema!
Can I get tattooed if I'm under 18 years old even with parental consent?
No, it is illegal in Texas to tattoo a minor.
Is it possible to book an appointment for me and a friend on the same day?
Yes, please submit one booking request for the both of you. But please keep in mind, it's possible that I might accept one idea and not the other if I think the idea doesn't work well with my style.
If I want a custom piece, will I get to see the design beforehand?
Maybe — I typically draw the day before the appointment, so if I have extra time, I'll email it to you. Otherwise, I'll show the design at the appointment and we can make adjustments in person.
Do you only tattoo anime and manga?
Nope! I enjoy tattooing anything in fine line style — florals, games, cartoons, etc.
Would you tattoo something you've tattooed before?
Maybe — since some manga panels are extremely popular and are tattooed often, I might consider it. But I'm more inclined to reject repeat tattoos, just so I can have more variety in my work.
Can I use numbing cream for our session?
I would advise against using numbing cream since it changes the texture of the skin, making it more difficult to tattoo.
What is the shop policy regarding Covid?
If you have been exposed to Covid within 2 weeks prior to appointment day, please let me know immediately so we can reschedule.
Do you sell your merch at the shop?
Yes! :)
See merch online here
Can I bring a gift as tip?
Of course! Any tip is greatly appreciated - but please don't feel obligated to. I'm simply grateful for your business and support! ♡

HOW TO PREPARE FOR YOUR APPOINTMENT

  • Make sure to be well rested, hydrated, and to have eaten something before coming in. Being hungry/tired while getting tattooed can cause more discomfort and pain, and often leads to feeling faint.

  • Wear or bring clothes that you don't mind getting dirty (in case of ink stains) and is appropriate for the area you're getting tattooed (e.g., shorts for a thigh tattoo).

  • Avoid alcohol and painkillers with ibuprofen/aspirin (Advil) or any blood thinning medication.

  • Feel free to bring some entertainment (headphones, Nintendo Switch, a book, etc.) or a jacket in case it gets cold.

  • You can bring a guest but please do not bring more than 1 since my studio is pretty small.

  • If you arrive to the shop earlier than our scheduled appointment time, please stay in your car and let me know via email/text that you've arrived. I will let you know when it's okay to come in since I might still be with a client.

AFTERCARE

Saniderm is used to wrap the tattoo immediately after, so if you have any allergies to adhesives, please let me know. For aftercare product, I recommend Hustle Butter.

  1. Keep the Saniderm bandage on for 5 days. (If you have an allergic reaction, take it off immediately)
    — Keep in mind, taking off the bandage prematurely might rip out some scabs/ink and cause missing spots.
    — Avoid sweating too much while Saniderm is on.
    — If the bandage starts coming off early and the tattoo is exposed, go ahead and remove the whole bandage and start the cleaning process (step 3).

  2. Take off the bandage while running lukewarm water over the tattoo. Remove by starting at an edge and slowly pull the bandage down, parallel to your body rather than away, like when removing Command Strips off the wall.

  3. Once the bandage is completely off, clean the tattoo gently with water and antibacterial soap to remove the plasma/blood/excess ink.
Then, pat it dry and apply a thin layer of aftercare product.

  4. Wash the tattoo and apply aftercare product 2x a day every day until tattoo is fully healed (around 2-4 weeks).
    — Color tattoos take longer to heal due to having to work the skin more in order to saturate the color. More trauma to the skin = longer healing time.
    — You may apply aftercare ointment more often throughout the day if it feels really dry.

  5. Always wear sunscreen on healed tattoos when exposed to the sun to prevent premature fading.

PLEASE AVOID:
— Picking/scratching/rubbing the tattoo
— Heavy sun exposure
— Swimming
— Tanning
— Activities where dirt and bacteria could get into the tattoo
— Direct animal contact with the tattoo
