No, it is illegal in Texas to tattoo a minor. Is it possible to book an appointment for me and a friend on the same day?
Yes, please submit one booking request for the both of you. But please keep in mind, it's possible that I might accept one idea and not the other if I think the idea doesn't work well with my style. Can I book multiple small tattoos in one session?
Yes! Submit all of your ideas and I'll see how many we can do in one day.Can I bring a guest to my appointment?
Yes! Keep in mind, my studio is pretty small so please don't bring a whole party. If I want a custom piece, will I get to see the design beforehand?
Maybe — I typically draw the day before the appointment, so if I have extra time, I'll email it to you. Otherwise, I'll show the design at the appointment and we can make adjustments in person.Do you only tattoo anime and manga?
Nope! I enjoy tattooing anything in fine line style — florals, games, cartoons, etc.Would you tattoo something you've tattooed before?
Maybe — since some manga panels are extremely popular and are tattooed often, I might consider it. But I'm more inclined to reject repeat tattoos, just so I can have more variety in my work. Can I use numbing cream for our session?
I would advise against using numbing cream since it changes the texture of the skin, making it more difficult to tattoo. What is the shop policy regarding Covid?
If you have been exposed to Covid within 2 weeks prior to appointment day, please let me know immediately so we can reschedule.Do you sell your merch at the shop?
Yes! :)
See merch online hereCan I bring a gift as tip?
Of course! Any tip is greatly appreciated - but please don't feel obligated to. I'm simply grateful for your business and support! ♡
Make sure to be well rested, hydrated, and to have eaten something before coming in. Being hungry/tired while getting tattooed can cause more discomfort and pain, and often leads to feeling faint, nausea, headaches.
Wear or bring clothes that you don't mind getting dirty (in case of ink stains) and is appropriate for the area you're getting tattooed (e.g. shorts for a thigh tattoo).
Avoid alcohol and painkillers with ibuprofen/aspirin (Advil) or any blood thinning medication.
Feel free to bring some entertainment (headphones, Nintendo Switch, a book, etc.) or a jacket in case it gets cold.
If you arrive to the shop earlier than our scheduled appointment time, please stay in your car and let me know via email/text that you've arrived. I will let you know when it's okay to come in since I might still be with a client.
Saniderm is used to wrap the tattoo immediately after, so if you have any allergies to adhesives, please let me know. For aftercare product, I recommend Hustle Butter.
1oz container available to purchase at the studio.
For at least 2 weeks, PLEASE AVOID:
- Swimming / hot tubs / soaking in baths
- Excess sweating / saunas / hot yoga
- Direct sun exposure / tanning
- Direct animal contact with the tattoo
- Picking / scratching at the tattoo
Immediately after getting the tattoo:
Leave the adhesive bandage on for 3-5 days.
Notes:
- If you have an allergic reaction to the bandage, remove it immediately.- The tattoo will naturally weep during the healing process, so don’t worry if you see fluid/ink buildup inside the wrap.- If part of the bandage lifts up and the tattoo is exposed, go ahead and take off the bandage and proceed with the normal aftercare process.
When you're ready to remove the adhesive bandage:
1. Start by running warm water over the tattoo and from the edge of the bandage, slowly pull and stretch it off.
Note: There might be ink that comes off with the adhesive. Don’t worry, this excess ink would have fallen out anyway with or without a bandage.
2. Once the bandage is completely removed:
> properly and gently wash the tattoo with antibacterial soap
> pat dry with a clean towel
> apply a small amount of antibiotic ointment or cream to the tattoo3. Repeat this process (wash it > pat dry > apply ointment) twice a day for the next 2 weeks or until fully healed.4. If needed, use a sterile bandage or other sterile dressing on the tattoo when exposed to dirty environments.
Once tattoo is fully healed:
Use moisturizer as needed when your tattoo looks dry.
Always put sunscreen on it when spending time in the sun to keep it from aging/fading faster. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to email me!
If you need a visual on how to remove the Saniderm, this YouTube video shows the process pretty well.
NOTE: If you notice an allergic reaction to any products used on the tattoo, stop using it immediately. Consult a health care practitioner at the first sign of infection and report any diagnosed infection, allergic reaction, or adverse reaction resulting from the tattoo to the artist and to the Texas Department of State Health Services, Tattoo and Body Piercing Program at (512-834-6711).Artist: Jenny Tran | @jennytranart | [email protected]
